Welcome to the Rushton Community Website
The slide-show above gives some idea of the glorious countryside that we are privileged to live in here where the Staffordshire Moorlands, meets South East Cheshire and East Derbyshire. Sitting in the valley of the river Dane, the village is surrounded by many areas of outstanding beauty. Notable among these are Gun Hill, Lud’s Church, The Roaches, Tegs Nose, The Cloud, Rudyard Lake and Tittesworth Water to name but a few. Macclesfield Forrest is a few miles to the north with the Goyt valley close by. This is a ramblers and cyclists paradise with many friendly local hostelries offering excellent food and ales. Dig around in this site and you will find much, much more.
