I’m John Pollard and I’ve lived in Rushton parish for a total of 22 years. I am now semi retired, having been a lawyer in various guises for over 50 years. I recently joined the Parish Council to try to promote local issues and to improve our local environment. I was particularly interested in trying to represent the “Cloudside” part of the parish. I have been involved in trying to establish a fair form of activity at the Shooting club, trying to curb excessive noise from the Wood Treatment works and more generally checking local issues.   My main concerns at the moment revolve around the dreadful state of the roads and gulleys in our village and surrounding areas and I am in constant touch with the appropriate highway authorities.
